No timeline to learn and nothing to install. Punctum does the cutting, the framing and the captions. You choose what goes out.

  1. 01

Paste a link or drop a file

YouTube, Twitch, Zoom, Drive and more, or an upload up to 4 GB. Choose the look while you're there.

  2. 02

    Get them back ranked

Every clip has a score and the reason for it, so the best one is always at the top. Trim it or fix a word.

  3. 03

    Post it everywhere

Download it, or send it to TikTok, YouTube, Instagram and more in one go, now or later in the week.

The clips playing in the phones at the top were made by Punctum and not touched up afterwards. Footage: Tears of Steel, Blender Foundation (CC BY 3.0); SuperTuxKart gameplay and music by Ozoneone (GPL), voice-over made for this demo.

Made for how you film.

Whatever the long video is, the clips that come out fit it.

A one-hour episode becomes a week of clips.

  • Clips start and end on full sentences, never mid-thought
  • Two speakers? Each gets framed on their own half
  • Captions in 12 languages for listeners abroad

It reads the whole episode, then picks like an editor.

Every candidate starts and ends on a full sentence and is scored against the rest of the same video. Tap a highlighted moment to see how it was judged.

Transcript, founder interview1:02:14

Honestly the first year was mostly me guessing. People ask what I would do differently, and there is one thing I say every time. I hired my best friend first. Worst decision I made that year. Not because he was bad at the job. Because I couldn't fire him.9.1 We are still friends, for the record.

Pricing was the other mistake. We charged nine dollars because it felt polite. So we called our first ten customers and asked one question: what would you pay if we disappeared tomorrow? Seven of them said double.7.6 We raised prices the next morning and nobody left.

By then we had moved twice, and yeah that was kind of the, the whole thing with the office move, which, I mean, we talked about earlier, so4.7 anyway, where was I.

9.1/10

Framed for a phone, shot by shot.

Punctum looks at every camera angle and picks the framing that keeps the people talking on screen. The frame holds still and only moves when the speaker does.

Every clip comes out ready to post.

  • Captions on every word

The word being spoken lights up as it's said, in six styles and any colour.

  • Every shape

9:16 for Shorts, Reels and TikTok, 4:5 and 1:1 for feeds, 16:9 for YouTube.

  • Dead air cut

Long pauses, ums and uhs come out, so clips move at feed speed.

  • Caption and hashtags, written

Every clip comes with a post caption and hashtags. Edit the clip, then post it anywhere.

  • A score with a reason

See why each clip ranked where it did before you post it.

  • Your colours

Pick the highlight colour that fits your channel. It's remembered for next time.

Six caption styles. Any colour.

Every word lights up as it's said. Tap a colour or type your own line: this is exactly how your clips will look.

Questions

The short answers. Anything else, send a message and we'll reply by email.

What kind of videos work best?

Videos where people talk: podcasts, interviews, streams, sermons, lectures and panels, from about 15 minutes to 2 hours.

How long does it take?

Usually a few minutes for an hour of video. You can close the tab while it works; your clips will be waiting when you come back.

Which links work?

Links from YouTube, Vimeo, Twitch, Kick, Rumble, X, Facebook, Google Drive and Dropbox, plus direct links to video files. If a site refuses the download, upload the file instead. Files also give the sharpest clips.

Do I need an account?

Yes, a free one. Sign in with Google and you get 30 minutes of video every month. Your clips are saved to your account, so they're there on any device.

What counts as a minute?

The length of the video you send in. A 40-minute episode uses 40 minutes, however many clips you get from it.

Can I clip any video?

Only videos you own or have permission to use.

Can it caption a whole video instead?

Yes. Open Captions and your video comes back in its own shape with captions on every word, nothing cut, each word checked by AI. Fix any word, and get a captions file for YouTube too.

Which languages does it understand?

Most spoken languages, from English and Spanish to Hungarian, Arabic, Hindi and Japanese. Punctum hears which one it is, and the captions and titles come in that language. On Captions, your captions can also be translated into 12 languages.

What happens to my uploads?

They're stored privately and used only to make your clips.
