What counts as a minute?
The length of the video you send in. A 40-minute episode uses 40 minutes, however many clips you get from it.
How are minutes counted?
Each video uses as many minutes as it is long, rounded to the nearest minute, however many clips you ask for. Minutes are only taken when your clips come back, so a video that fails costs nothing.
When do my minutes come back?
Every month, on the day you made your account. Your account page shows the exact date and how many you have left.
Do unused minutes roll over?
On Starter, Creator and Pro, yes: the minutes you don't use one month are added to the next, up to one month's worth. They're used after the month's own minutes. On Free they don't roll over.
Can I buy more minutes?
Yes: on your Account page, Add 100 minutes for $4.99, on any plan. Bought minutes are used after your monthly ones and never run out.
What if my video is longer than my minutes left?
Punctum clips the first part your minutes cover instead of turning the video away. With 30 minutes left and a 45-minute episode, you get clips from its first 30 minutes. You can also pick which part to clip under the link box.
What is the video compressor?
On Starter, Creator and Pro, Compress makes a video file smaller while it looks the same, so it uploads faster and fits where size is limited. Upload a file, pick how small, and download the smaller copy. It uses none of your clip minutes: Starter compresses 30 videos a month, Creator 60 and Pro 150.
How long are my clips kept?
Free keeps clips for 3 days, Starter 7, Creator 14 and Pro 30. Your Library shows the day each video's clips will be deleted and warns you two days before, so download the ones you want to keep. Uploaded videos are deleted after about 3 days, so edit clips from an upload soon after it's made.
How do I remove the watermark?
Clips and captioned videos on the Free plan carry a small "Made with punctum." mark that writes itself down the top left edge every few seconds. Each video also ends with a short punctum card. Both stay on clips you edit later. Any paid plan removes it from your next video on.
How do I change or cancel my plan?
To cancel, open your Account page and press Cancel subscription. You keep your plan until the end of the month you paid for, and you can press Keep my plan before then if you change your mind. To switch plan, pick one on the Pricing page. Card and receipts on the Account page updates your card and downloads receipts. Changed your mind? Ask for a refund within 14 days of a payment, as long as you haven't used it.
