Terms of service

These terms are the rules for using Punctum. By using it you agree to them. They're written in plain language; if anything is unclear, ask us at thierrychizaram@gmail.com.
The service
Punctum uses AI to turn long videos into short clips. It is in beta: features, plans and limits may change, and things may sometimes break.
Your account
- You sign in with Google, another listed service, or your email or username and a password, and must be at least 16 years old.
- Keep your password to yourself. Your username must not pretend to be someone else or be offensive; we may change one that is.
- One person per account. You're responsible for what happens in your account.
Your videos
- Only send videos you own or have permission to use. Making sure you have the rights is your responsibility.
- You keep all rights to your videos and clips. You allow Punctum to store and process them only to provide the service to you.
- Finished clips are deleted once your plan's keep time is up (Free 3 days, Starter 7, Creator 14, Pro 30), and uploaded videos after about 3 days. Download anything you want to keep.
- Don't use Punctum for anything illegal, for content that infringes other people's rights, or for content that sexualises minors, promotes violence or harasses people. We may remove such content and close the account.
Plans and minutes
- Each plan includes a number of video minutes per month. A video uses as many minutes as it is long.
- Minutes start again each month, counted from the day you signed up. On Starter, Creator and Pro, a month's unused minutes carry over to the next month, up to one month's worth; carried minutes don't carry over again. On Free, unused minutes don't carry over. Bought minutes (top-ups) are used after your monthly minutes and don't expire.
- Videos that fail to clip don't use any minutes.
- Clips on the Free plan carry a small watermark and a short end card.
- Prices are shown before you pay. Paid plans renew every month until you cancel. You can cancel any time and keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for.
- Refunds: ask within 14 days of a payment and we'll refund it in full, as long as you haven't used it (no videos made with the minutes it paid for). Write to us at thierrychizaram@gmail.com.
- Payments are taken securely by Stripe (card, and other ways to pay such as PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay where offered). We never see your full card details. Stripe sends your receipts, and you can update your card, switch plan or cancel from your account page. If something goes wrong with a payment, write to us.
Fair use
Don't try to get around the limits, for example with several free accounts or automated access, and don't try to break, overload or copy the service.
AI results
Scores, titles and the moments chosen are made by AI and can be wrong. Watch your clips before you post them.
Availability and liability
We work to keep Punctum running well, but it's provided as it is, and we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total responsibility is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months. Nothing here takes away rights you have under consumer law.
Ending your use
You can stop using Punctum and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, we change the date at the top, and for important changes we'll tell you in the app or by email.
